You are entitled to a refund for items you have purchased from Grain of Descent if the item is:
(a) faulty and the fault or defect was not pointed out to you before you purchased it or could not have been apparent in your inspection of the item or photos before purchase; or
(b) not 'of merchantable quality', meaning that it is not of the quality that you reasonably expected when you purchased it, bearing in mind the way the item was described to you before your purchase, the nature of the materials used, and also the price of the item;
And you return the item within a 7 days after purchase and provide us with proof of purchase, such as your Grain of Descent receipt or bank statement. If you do not return the item within 7 days after purchase, you will not be entitled to a refund of the purchase price.
Grain of Descent reserves the right to ask you to demonstrate that you did not cause or create the fault in the item.
CHANGE OF MIND
We apologise at this time, we are unable to facilitate refunds or exchanges based on change of mind. Grain of Descent is not legally obliged to give refunds on items, or exchange them, simply because you have changed your mind regarding the purchase.
We apologise at this time, we are unable to facilitate exchanges based on change of mind. However, if you are entitled to a refund based on the ‘REFUND’ policy outlined above, but you would prefer to exchange the item to another item of equivalent value, Grain of Descent may be happy to facilitate an exchange instead of a refund, depending on the item. If you wish to exchange your purchase, you will need to place a new order and return your item within 7 days.
For online customers, the ‘REFUND’, ‘CHANGE OF MIND’ and ‘EXCHANGE’ policies outlined also applies; however please note the following terms and conditions:
Allowing for delays in shipping times, we allow you to return any online purchased items within 14 days of marked postage date;
For items broken during transit, as Grain of Descent reserves the right to ask you to demonstrate that you did not cause or create the fault in the item, you must photograph the item it it’s original packaging, unopened to a reasonable degree. If you do not demonstrate that you did not cause or create the fault in the item, you will not be entitled to a refund of the purchase price or to have the goods repaired; and
If you do not return the item within 14 days, you will not be entitled to a refund of the purchase price.
SHIPPING BACK RETURNS
If you are entitled to a refund based on our ‘REFUND’ policy, and wish to return your purchase via post, we recommend you send your goods back using a padded and trackable delivery service as we do not accept responsibility for return items lost, or damage in transit, and your return will not be processed.
Once we receive your parcel we will process your return and you will receive a confirmation email. Refunds will be credited against your original method of payment (unless paid cash), and will not include any refunds for shipping, delivery and packaging charges.
CHANGE OR CANCELLING OF ONLINE ORDERS
Unfortunately, once your order has been sent we are unable to make changes to your order. However, please contact us immediately to discuss this, as you may be entitled to a refund if the item has not yet been sent. For full details please refer to the above policies.
